  • Investigator recruited to Lawson Health Research Institute from Victoria Hospital 9 years ago.
  • Completed his doctoral studies in one of the world's Pioneering NMR research groups directed by Mik Pintar at University of Waterloo.
  • Pioneering research in the area of NMR relaxometry in the early 70's is recognized as some of the first publications investigating the mechanisms responsible for the changes seen in MRI with disease.
  • Peer-reviewed funding from the Natural Science and Engineering Council, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association.
  • Director of the 3T MR facility and Chair Division of Imaging, Lawson Health Research Institute.
  • 18 papers and 30 abstracts published or submitted over the last 5 years.
  • Consultant for several MR related industries; Surrey Medical Imaging Systems (SMIS), Innovative Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems (IMRIS) and Multi Magnetics Inc. (MMI).
  • One of the primary authors of a recent successful CFI and OIT grant award for $5.6 Million ( PI on 3T MR research portion, $2.6 Million)
  • Currently holds a Canadian Industry grant for $1,040,000 over 5 years, for further commercial developments of a new 3T MR platform.
